Signs to watch for
- Gagging or choking
- Vomiting
- Straining or blood in stool from bone fragments
What to do
Do not induce vomiting. Call us the same day: cooked chicken bones splinter and can pierce or block the gut. Watch for gagging or choking now, and for vomiting, appetite loss, straining or bloody stool over the next 48 hours.
Macau note
Dim sum chicken feet are cooked, so the many small bones splinter easily. Raw feet from wet markets are a milder chew but still not risk free.
